Product Description

LOOKING FOR A MILD PRE WORKOUT DRINK, THIS ISN'T FOR YOU.

1.21GW was made for extreme levels of energy and focus.

When we say extreme, we mean extreme.

This isn't your mama's pre workout drink.

If you want to take your workouts to another level and know you're going to need a whole-pot-of-coffee type of energy, keep reading.

1.21GW IS UNPARALLELED PRE-WORKOUT FULMINATION.

So that's what we did, and we backed it by science as well. Check it out:

FLUX Exclusive Time-Released Caffeine Blend (450mg)

Caffeine Anhydrous:  Caffeine can be found in most pre-workout supplements, and for good reason.  The stimulant provides the nuclear reaction needed to generate the energy you need, and 1.21 GW contains the right amount scientifically proven to help you perform.  Studies have found caffeine to help you increase muscle power, jumper higher, and run faster and longer.

It has been shown to decrease your rate of perceived exertion (RPE, helping you block out the pain), increase alertness and help heighten your mood.  If you’ve never performed a Wingate test, give it a try.  It is one of the most grueling 30 seconds of your life, and caffeine has been shown to improve Wingate times.  With different cognitive, aerobic and anaerobic benefits, it is easy to see how caffeine can assist you in reaching your goals.

InfinergyTM DiCaffeine Malate: A relatively new compound, di-caffeine malate is basically caffeine bonded with malic acid.  The new composition has a slightly different digestibility, and could help alleviate the digestive issues that some people experience when consuming caffeine.

Caffeine Citrate: As you probably guessed, caffeine citrate is caffeine bonded with citric acid.  It is added to help spike blood caffeine levels faster, approximately 30-60 minutes faster than caffeine anhydrous.  When taken with caffeine anhydrous, it can cause caffeine levels to start high and stay high, helping you stay mentally and physically into your workout.

Enhanced Lactic Acid Threshold (3,200mg)

Beta Alanine: Beta alanine is an amino acid that combines with the amino acid histidine to form carnosine.  During high intensity exercise, your body doesn’t have time to produce energy with oxygen like it usually does, so it undergoes anaerobic respiration to produce energy.  As a result, hydrogen ion byproducts are produced, causing the muscle to become more acidic.  If it becomes too acidic it can cause muscle fatigue and shorten exercise duration. Carnosine is an intracellular buffer that decreases the accumulation of hydrogen ions, helping delay the muscle from becoming too acidic and allow you to keep training at a high intensity. Taking 4-6g daily has been shown to increase performance in exercises lasting 1-2 minutes, including faster sprinting times and higher training volume when performing 8-15 repetitions.  Beta alanine is also responsible for that paresthesia (tingly feeling) that you either love or hate when taking most pre-workouts, and taking up to 6g of it at a time could cause too much paresthesia.   With 3.2g, there should be plenty to have you feeling its effects, without being a distraction.

Lightning Strike Focus & Drive (1,227mg)

Choline Bitartrate:Choline is an essential nutrient in the human body with uses including, but not limited to, neurotransmitter synthesis, cell membrane signaling, and coordination.  Following intense, lengthy workouts serum choline levels drop.  This can lead to impaired performance and decreased cognition.  One study on marathon runners found poorer race times in those with lower choline levels.  Another study found decreased performance on cognitive tests due to depleted choline levels following a 5-day combat training course. As you can depict from these studies, serum choline levels don’t fall from spending most of your workout conversing with your gym partner or casually going from machine to machine.  For those of us that grind throughout the entirety of our workout and spend most days at the gym, field, court, etc., we should be aware of our choline levels.  Supplementation has been shown to decrease marathon times, increase visuomotor performance, and even improve pupil constriction.  This means that supplementation of choline can bring blood concentrations back to normal following heavy training, helping improve endurance performance and increase cognition accuracy.

L-Tyrosine: Tyrosine is non-essential amino acid that is used to synthesize proteins in the body.  It is also a precursor to neurotransmitters and hormones.  The benefits of tyrosine appear to not be of physical performance, but cognitive.  Studies have found that when taking large doses of tyrosine before an acute stressor (such as cold conditions or high altitude), that subjects increased working memory and cognition.  If this can be transferred to a workout session then attention and focus could be improved.

L-Theanine:Another non-essential amino acid, theanine can be found in green tea leaves.  Taken alone, studies have found it to have a calming or relaxing affect, something most people don’t look for in a pre-workout.  Taken with caffeine, theanine has been shown to increase cognitive speed and accuracy more than caffeine alone.  This synergistic effect means that you can get the increased alertness from caffeine without feeling easily distracted.  Now you’ll be able to put all your focus and attention on the task at hand.

Synephrine HCl:Synephrine is the main protoalkaloid from Citrus aurantium, also known as bitter orange.  The chemical makeup of p-synephrine allows it to have more favorable binding properties to its adrenoreceptors, which is the main theory as to why it increases metabolic rate and lipolysis.  Outside of its thermogenic properties and the reason it is in 1.21 GW is its ergogenic benefits.  The groundbreaking study specifically examining the effects of synephrine on weight lifting showed an increase in force, total repetitions, and total volume when subjects performed six sets of squats following consumption of synephrine compared to the control and placebo (p<0.05).  Increasing reps and total volume is a great way to increase strength and muscle gains, and this is exactly what synephrine has been shown to do.

BioperineTM (Black Pepper Extract): This patented black pepper extract has nothing to do with improving the taste of 1.21 (but feel free to add some pepper to your cherry lemonade if you’d like, we won’t judge).  On its own, bioperine probably won’t be of any benefit, but combined with other ingredients a synergistic effect takes place. Research as shown increased bioavailability of nutrients including beta-carotene, CoQ10, curcumin, iron, and resveratrol when taken with BioperineTM.  The human body likes to keep most nutrients from getting too high in the blood stream.  It’s a defense mechanism that helps keep some harmful substances down, but this could backfire if it’s also lowering the beneficial substances.  BioperineTM can help slow the breakdown of your prewokout nutrients, keeping them in the bloodstream so they are readily available during your workout, allowing you to get the most out of your supplements!

Rauwolfia Vomitoria Root Extract (Std. Min. 90% Alpha-Yohimbine): Rauwolfia vomitoria is an herb that has been used in natural medicine for conditions such as high blood pressure and some mental disorders.  The extract in 1.21 GW contains at least 90% α-yohimbine, which studies have shown increases lipolysis AND norepinephrine.  Norepinephrine is one of the “fight or flight” hormones from the sympathetic nervous system.  We’ve all heard those stories about an average mother lifting a car off the ground with her bare hands to save her baby’s life, haven’t we?  But where does such strength come from? The same flight or fight response that helped early Paleolithic man outrun or contest saber-toothed tigers!  Being able to increase norepinephrine can help unleash maximum power and engage ultimate drive and beast mode during your workout!

Huperzine A:  Upon any voluntary action, from opening the gym door to testing your deadlift one rep max, there is a step by step process that gets that idea from your mind to muscles doing the task.  One of the big players in that process is the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Acetylcholine (ACh) helps bind the presynaptic end of one neuron to the postsynaptic end of the ensuing neuron, so the message from the brain can be sent to skeletal muscle.  The higher the duration and intensity of the workout, the higher ACh levels drops.  Low ACh levels have been suspected as one of the reasons behind central fatigue, as well as cause learning issues.  Huperzine A has been shown to increase acetylcholine levels by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase (the enzyme that breaks down ACh), helping improve memory and learning performance in students.  Now that we can keep our ACh levels up during our workout we have the capability to help delay fatigue and keep pushing through, keeping our brain and muscles working coherently from the beginning to the very end of the workout.

Direction:

HOW DO I USE IT?

Beginning users should always assess tolerance with 1/2 a scoop in 6oz water. This isn't a normal pre-workout and even if you've been taking 2 scoops of 'other' pre-workout, I would still take 1/2 a scoop of 1.21GW to see how it will affect you. Advanced users can use 1 scoop mixed with about 10-12oz of water.

LABEL INFORMATION

Directions: As a dietary supplement, mix 1/2 (.5) serving of 1.21GW with 4-6 fl. oz of cold water and consume 30 minutes prior to your workout. Advanced users can consume up to one (1) serving prior to their workout with 8-12 fl. oz of water. DO NOT CONSUME 1.21GW WITHIN 6 HOURS PRIOR TO BEDTIME. DO NOT TAKE ANY OTHER PRODUCTS THAT CONTAIN CAFFEINE OR OTHER STIMULANTS SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH 1.21GW.

Great high stim pre

I'm a big fan of high stim pre, and the blend of caffeine anhydrous, dicaffeine malate, and caffeine citrate is one of the best I've had. I felt the energy quicker than other preworkouts I've tried and it lasted longer than my workout
